Lifeway needs to be on TikTok

TikTok

Launched in 2016, TikTok has grown quickly with over one billion users. The app has multiple songs and sounds to pair with 15–60 videos for users to create content. The short video clips are part of what made the app successful. Users enjoy the short clips finding them entertaining and the algorithm to benefit them. The TikTok algorithm benefits users as the For You Page feed gives users videos that are similar to their interests and likes.

The TikTok algorithm has assisted brands and companies to grow and to better reach their target audience. One company credits TikTok to saving their company. Swaddelini was losing money in 2020 because of the pandemic. At the beginning of 2021, Swaddelini started to create content on TikTok. One of the videos went viral and it caused an increase in sales. TikTok is a platform that can change businesses and lives.

Lifeway

Started in 1891 Lifeway a Christian resource and bookstore closed all stores in 2019. Lifeway witnessed a continued decline in store sales and decided to close the doors. Lifeway moved to ecommerce in part of a digital strategy plan. Now focused on ecommerce, Lifeway has the opportunity to focus on the digital strategy ideals and to have a robust online store.

Why should Lifeway get on TikTok?

Lifeway is on multiple social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. Lifeway is consistent with the posts, creating engaging and informative content. Since, Lifeway is ecommerce the organization can benefit from being on TikTok as it is another way to reach out to the target audience and current individuals loyal to the brand.

Reach out to Target Audience

There are over 9.6 billion views with #ChristianTikTok. TikTok has different niches on the platform and Christianity has a large following. There are Christian users on TikTok which are a part of Lifeway’s target market. Lifeway could be reaching the target audience and find a new way to engage with followers.

Get Creative

TikTok helps unlock creativity with different trends of sounds, songs, dances, challenges and more. The social media platform challenges creators to create fun and engaging content. Lifeway can be creative on the platform by giving short and quick book or resources reviews. This will provide beneficial information to the viewer about a product available to purchase online.

Lifeway could also partner with other TikTok creators that are popular in the Christian TikTok niche. Lifeway and the TikTok creator can collaborate by creating similar videos to promote different products available online for purchase. This will allow Lifeway to get more attention on the platform with other users who follow the popular Christian TikTok creators.

Lifeway can benefit from the LIVE video feature on TikTok when releasing new products, announce sales and more. Other forms of content can be highlighting popular study books, encouraging words, and motivational stories. Lifeway has multiple options for content creation on TikTok as it is ecommerce and sells multiple types of products.

Final Thoughts

TikTok is another social media platform that has increased in popularity. Many brands have joined in the TikTok fun; however, some are still hesitant to join. Lifeway closed stores due to decrease in sales and went ecommerce. Lifeway has a digital strategy plan and should include TikTok as part of the plan.
